TIBETAN MASTIFF PUPPIES COLORADO

IF YOU OWN OR HAVE OWNED A TIBETAN MASTIFF WITH HEALTH ISSUES OR TEMPERAMENT ISSUES; I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU. CONTACT ME. MANY HIGH VOLUME/ CORPORATE SHOW BREEDERS ARE NOT ALWAYS HONEST WHEN IT COMES TO HEALTH OR TEMPERAMENT ISSUES, MAKING IT HARD TO KNOW WHETHER YOU ARE BREEDING HEALTHY STABLE DOGS. I BELIEVE THEY DO THIS BECAUSE AKC SHOWS ENCOURAGE COMPETITION WHICH LEADS TO BREEDING GOOD LOOKING DOGS WHICH ARE NOT NECESSARILY HEALTHY. WHY WOULD THEY DO THIS? I BELIEVE THE ANSWER IS THAT THEY HAVE INVESTED SO MUCH MONEY INTO THE DOG.

THIS SITE IS AN ON GOING AND IT CHANGES AS I LEARN MORE ABOUT THE BREED AND AKC POLICIES AND. I HAVE LEARNED A LOT BY BEING THROWN INTO MANY SITUATIONS OVER THE PAST EIGHT YEARS. SOME THINGS I WOULD HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY, AND THAT IS WHY I HAVE CREATED THIS SITE. I ENCOURAGE ANYBODY TO WAIT TO BREED. IT TAKES TIME TO LEARN ABOUT THE WORLD OF AKC AND DOG BREEDERS. I DON'T BELIEVE ALL THE AKC BREEDERS ARE BAD; BUT I DO BELIEVE THE AKC ORGANIZATION IS THE CAUSE OF MANY OF THE PROBLEMS I HAVE EXPERIENCED. MAYBE SOMEBODY ELSE WON'T HAVE TO GO THROUGH SOME OF THESE THINGS. THANK YOU FOR VISITING. IT'S NOT ABOUT PUPPY SALES. YOU SHOULD BUY WHAT YOU LIKE, JUST KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING INTO

THE TIBETAN MASTIFF IS A FIERCE GUARDIAN OF HIS FAMILY AND FLOCK, MAJESTIC IN STATURE AND LOYAL FRIEND.

Legend has it that Tibetans believe that the souls of monks and nuns who weren’t  worthy to be either humans or Shambhalas (the heavenly realm) have been reincarnated as these dogs. Perhaps this explains their high level of intelligence and loving nature.tibetan mastiff colorado

This breed is considered to be Royal as it belonged to Kings and Queens like King George IV, Queen Victoria and Genghis Khan who is believed to have 30,000 of these dogs when he was on his expedition to Western Europe.

Highly intelligent with a mind of their own, the Tibetan Mastiff can sense danger very acutely.

WELCOME! THIS SITE IS DEDICATED TO THIS VERY SPECIAL BREED. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN RESCUING A LARGE BREED OR TIBETAN MASTIFF if available PLEASE VISIT BLUELION RESCUE.

AKC SHOW POLITICS - FOLLOW THE MONEY
"WHY DOG SHOW ENTRIES ARE DECLINING?" FOLLOW THE MONEY > THE HANDLERS PAY A FEE TO THE AKC > THE HANDLERS GET CLIENTS WHO PAY SHOW ENTRIES > THE VENDORS COME THE SHOWS > PEOPLE STAY IN HOTELS AND EAT IN RESTAURANTS. HOW LONG DO YOU THINK PEOPLE WOULD PAY A HANDLER $100.00 + TO HANDLE THEIR DOGS IF THEY ARE NOT WINNING? I HAVE NOTICED THAT OVER IN EUROPE PEOPLE HANDLE THEIR OWN DOGS; MAKING IT A MUCH LEVEL VENUE IN MY OPINION. AKC HANDLERS - EACH HANDLER PAYS A $250.00 TO BE REGISTERED ACCORDING TO THEIR WEBSITE: http://www.akc.org/handlers/links.cfm DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE YOU CAN WIN AGAINST THE MONEY? Here is an example of what AKC handlers may charge: Best in Show………….……$450 Reserve Best In Show.........$270 Best In Show National…….$470 Best in Specialty…………..$250 Group I.……...………………$95 Group II……....………………$90 Group III………....……………$80 Group IV………...……………$75 FOLLOW THE MONEY TRAIL. IT IS PRETTY CLEAR TO ME. AGAIN, MY OPINION BASED ON MY OBSERVATIONS AND CONVERSATIONS WITH PEOPLE AT SHOWS BUYING A DOG UNDER CO-OWNERSHIP IS THE WORST POSSIBLE THING YOU CAN DO BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE WITH THESE BREEDERS. MY CONTRACT WAS BREACHED FOR MERELY SPEAKING WITH SOMEONE THE BREEDER DID NOT LIKE. IF YOU COMPLAIN; TUFF LUCK. TAKE MY ADVICE AND RUN. UNDER ACCORDING TO MY CO-OWNERSHIP I WAS TO BREED TWO LITTERS, GIVE TWO PUPPIES TO THE CO-OWNER AND PAY FOR EVERYTHING, VET, SHOW AND HANDLER FEES. THAT WOULD HAVE TOTALED UP TO APPOX. $7000.00 AND I WOULD HAVE BEEN RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT COULD GO WRONG? SOUND LIKE A GOOD DEAL TO YOU? IT DID NOT TO ME. OWNER HANDLER DIVISION? IS IT WORTH THE MONEY? - CUT AND PASTE THE FOLLOWING LINK TO READ: http://www.apps.akc.org/classic/ohs/point_scale.cfm For all of you wondering; do you get points toward an AKC "champion" status by entering in the owner handler division? Why would anybody throw money away like this? It is very insulting to me as to why AKC would assume their membership to be so dumb. This only validates my opinion that the AKC is only in it for the money. Why would anybody give them money to enter shows which have absolutely no value in terms of "championship" points. Quote: "AKC National Owner-Handled Series AKC National Owner-Handled Series Point Scale Note: AKC National Owner-Handled Series points do not contribute to championship points. At an individual show a dog earns the cumulative number of AKC National Owner-Handled Series points associated with each placement. WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN A GOOD BREEDER
A LITTLE FRIENDLY ADVICE WHEN SEARCHING FOR BREEDERS Stay away from breeders who are constantly bragging about "championships". Breeding for the show ring can lead to all kinds of fraud, corruption, and unethical behaviors such as inbreeding, false pedigrees, and unheatly / unstable dogs. These things are done because there is so much money riding on show dogs that include show, handlling, and other fees. Small "hobby breeders" usually are not concentrating on winning in the ring; therefore it only makes sense that they are more focused on health, temperament, and stability. They are generally more concerned with the dogs rather than being part of "elite" groups and do not incur all the overhead of the show ring. Championships can be bought. THE FOLLOWING IS A QUOTE EXPLAINING SHOW COSTS BY AN AKC SHOW BREEDER. ANY REASONABLE PERSON CAN SEE THAT THESE COSTS MUST BE "ROLLED INTO" A SHOW BREEDER'S COST. I AM OF THE OPINION THAT SINCE "CHAMPIONING" A DOG HAS NO VALUE IN TERMS OF QUALITY; YOU CAN GET JUST AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER QUALITY PUPPY FROM A HOBBY BREEDER. THE FOLLOWING QUOTE IS THE WAY THEY WILL "SPIN IT" TO YOU OR TRY TO "JUSTIFY" IT TO YOU. QUOTE: Some people I know have spent $50,000.00 per year (for 2 or 3 years) on showing their dog. That stud dog is not available to anyone but the best bitches. He may sire only 3-5 litters in his lifetime. You do the math 5 litters by 8 puppies into $150.00.00 = $5000.00 per puppy. So the top AKC breeders give their puppies away at the bargain price of $5000.00! Yet the $500.00 puppy buyers swarm you with calls yet never put their money where their mouth is! Yes puppy mills abound because the very people complaining buy from them! UNQUOTE. This particular breeder is using dogs from a breeder whom they call a "puppy mill" and who has gotten their dogs by "backdoor" means. I have emails from this breeder criticizing the breeder of the dogs they are using. How ethical or honest is that and why use the dogs if the breeder is such a low life in their opinion? They call them names; yet want their dogs in their programs. Sounds a bit hypocritical to me. I would never deal with such an arrogant person! Avoid breeders who breed multiple breeds. Avoid contracts where you owe puppies back in the future or require showing. Person in possession of the dog should be listed as the owner. Avoid highly inbred lines. This is called C.O.I. (co-incidence of inbreeding) Just search the subject and you can find many articles of explanation. Avoid certain dogs in pedigrees. Some lines may be more difficult. I believe that small "hobboy" breeders seem to be the most ethical Be wary of "elite" breeder sites that endorse showing and memberships in clubs. People like this usually feel they are better than everybody else. It is not a becoming trait and usually winds up in competition for sales and notoriety. Clubs and showing is no different than any other political organization. It is almost always corrupt and beneficial to those in charge. Do you really want to deal with somebody that admits they are an "elitist" and better than others? It's never good when people have to breed to make a mortgage payment. That is usually how unethical behavior starts. It usually becomes all about the money and not about the dogs. Ask to see the results of hip, elbow and thyroid testing on the parents of the litter.
